Will Animal Print ever be Out of Style??

Last year I had a designer tell me that animal print was going out of style. WHAT?! I've never seen it be out of style! In fact, I just read in this months issue of Accents Today (a magazine for retailers in the home accessories biz) what they considered HOT & what they considered NOT. Guess What?? Animal Prints were on the HOT list! They didn't have to tell me...I knew because our animal print rugs are our Best Sellers!!

Take a look at some home interior photos I found that decorated with animal prints.

I personally don't think animal print will ever be out of style. I believe it is a classic...as I proudly wear my leopard print coat!

So what do you think? Will animal print ever go out of style??

Hi Darlene,
I could not agree more.
I love all animal prints! In fact I'm keeping my eyes peeled to add more to our home in small ways.
I ADORE the ornaments I bought from you!
Lovely coat. ~Melissa :)

I hope not cause I LOVE it! My daughter's room makeover (I believe it was posted about in August 2008) was done in black/white zebra print with hot pink accents. We ALL LOVE it!!!

I don't think it will ever go completely out of style....It seems to fluctuate and sometimes is overdone, but it's always around. "They" used to say everyone needed a touch of the orient, now it's acceptable to throw in some sort of animal print. I think it can be fit in tastefully most anywhere.

PS: Love your coat!

well for me personally I dont like animal prints in my home--BUT I sure do enjoy them in others. It might be because my home isnt the type to have it. I would love a animal print tunic though! and to answer your question NO it will never go out of style--not sure why but it wont.

Out of style? Not with all of us buying and wearing animal print!!

Even amongst all my roses and romantic re-decorating going on my home, I've already added a speck of animal print...in my Dining Room...where I have Old Country Roses TEA cups and Saucers and Teapots!!! The other bit of animal print, will be in our bathroom...when I finish that...hopefully by spring!!

I totally think animal prints are very classic. They've been in & out of fashion over the years. I remember when it was all over the place in the early 80's & now it's just as hot, so it's totally a classic in my book.

I don't think it's going out of style either. No way. Love it here too. I agree, it is a classic.

I see you like the "love" pillow cases too. Saw them on some blog and looked them up--couldn't justify the cost, but they are great.

I think animal print has become a classic. I see it in every kind of decorating style--I saw a room recently with a chair covered in toile fabric, and a zebra print ottoman. And you know what? It worked great together!!

I think right now they have been a trend for the last 5 yrs so they are overdone but those that have always loved them will still love them even though they are trendy now. They have been used since Victorian times to show that you were well traveled.Thank goodness they make faux ones now!I have always worn leopard and I have a scarf that is at least 17yrs old and it is a piece I will always have unless it wears out and then I will Panic because I wear it so much.Enjoy you animal prints,I do!
