Everyone has One... but Me!

Have you ever noticed something on the blogs that almost everyone has, but you?? Have you ever decided that you needed something just because everyone else seems to have one? Do you feel kind of left out...because you don't have that certain "something"?

Are you wondering what the heck I'm talking about??

Well, if you've been following any of the decorating & designing blogs then you have seen these! It is called a "cloche" or a "bell jar". I never even knew what that was until I started blogging, but now I have to have one! I'm determined to find one & get one this year! Why, do I need a cloche?? Not quite sure, but I feel I MUST have one!

Have you discovered something that you have to have...just because you see other bloggers have it??

Yes, Yes, Yes!! I want one too. I have been wanting one for the last couple of years, just never did buy one. After blogging and seeing them everywhere, I might just go get me one.

I love them too and I want one!! I've been eyeing (sp?) the thing I use as a cheese ball holder and wondering if I can use that in a creative way? It has a nice wooden base and a pretty round top? But, I've been looking at TJMaxx, Ross, etc. for one like the ones you have pictured!! Very pretty!! Let me know if you find one!!

That's so true.....we look at everybody's "stuff" and make a shopping list!

Blogging makes ME want a new camera AND a sewing machine. AND a husband/handyman to do the "manly things"...i.e. building stuff, helping install things, etc. I KNOW that a bit sexist but it really does help to have a man around to help with that stuff!

Do you have Tuesday Morning's in your area? I saw a bunch of bells jars this weekend and their prices were very reasonable.

This will come as no surprise, but more and more and more dishes! Everytime I see a pattern I haven't seen before, I feel the urge to go out and find it!

I will tell you, as a veteran cloche collector.....they're like Lays Potato Chips....you won't be able to stop at just one!

Yes I know what you mean. I love these but they are hard to find. There are some on ebay, just might have to get me one this year too. Debbie

I've been thinking the same thing. I had never seen one until I started blogging (or at least never noticed them) and now I see them everywhere. I almost bought one at Hobby Lobby a couple weeks ago, but my hubby asked me what I would put in it and apparently I didn't have a good enough answer. I'll just have to wait until he's not with me...

Yes! I'm so bad like that! I'm dying to get an apothecary jar! My husband is quite confused by the whole decorating thing in general. He'd be happy if our house looked like a bachelor pad, but the apothecary jars really escape him. "No, but really! What are they for??"is what he keeps asking me! Ha! Men! =)

I bought my first cloche over 5 years ago! Who knew they'd become so popular.

I haven't wanted to buy alot of things that other bloggers have but I certainly have wanted to "copy" their crafts...and I'm not necessarily a crafter! I've gotten some darling holiday ideas over the past year from bloggers. I've also discovered black spray paint. Have you noticed that all the design blogs cover everything with black spray paint!?! It truly became my new best friend last year!

Sure. Go get yourself one. I found about three of mine at T.J. Maxx and Marshalls.

I guess it's no different than our girls coming home from school with some item they just have to have because some girl was wearing blah, blah. I've spent enough money at Hollister and Abercrombie to reward myself a little from time to time :)

Blessings,

Sher

Reading blogs makes my wish list grow and grow and grow! I would say that the cloche is definitely one of my wish list items. Another would be curtains like the Ballards Catalog has. They have one fabric on the top 2/3 of the panel, and another fabric on the bottom third. SO pretty...I'd like to make these myself using some cheaper panels or fabrics!

Good luck finding one for yourself. They are cute and one could have a lot of fun with it. There is so much to use for decorating, it can overwhelming for me just because I am just starting to learn how. I am learning what I like and what I would want. Right now the only thing I would want that others might have is a real house. I am thankful for what I am living in but it would be nice to have the house that I would want to live in forever. One day!!

I have 3 of these babies. And I love them. They are so much fun!
I am not sure what I want from blogging. I would say probably more dishes. I am addicted to tablescapes!!!
