Do you have a Hidden Room?

Have you seen homes that have hidden rooms? Where it looks like a bookcase or a built in, but it actually opens to reveal a room? I've always thought that having a hidden room was the coolest thing!! In fact we have a hidden room in our home, well it's actually a storage area...but it's hidden! I would show you, but hubby says it wouldn't be hidden if I shared the photo on the world wide web.

So anyway, I will go ahead and show you other people's photos of some hidden rooms to inspire you. Maybe you can find a place in your home to incorporate a hidden room! There's something I just find incredibly magical about them!

Hello Darlene...

Oooh...I'd love to have a secret room...but don't...boohoo! These photos are of some very beautiful homes...but as I was looking, I couldn't help but think about all of those secret rooms in the homes of some of the Europeans during WWII. The story of Anne Frank comes to mind! I'm sure that the present day "secret rooms" have "Come a long way, baby!" in comparison!

Warmest wishes...

I love this post!!! I do not have a hidden room but I would love one. Madisons room is right off of our livingroom. As soon as one of the older kids move out she will move on down the hall. That will leave her little room an office like it was intended. I may have to keep these ideas in mind. How neat is that to transform a door into a bookcase. Im so loving this post!!!
About Blissdom~ I think it will be about a 11 hour drive. Crazy I know! I could fly but I had a hard time a few years back that I would hate to chance it again. Im looking forward to the trip but not the drive. My sister will be with me though and she makes everything fun!! I do hope you decide to go. we could have so much fun. Im starting a list of junkfood I want to take for the trip...Hope you can make it...I will share my goodies, smile~

I know my children would love to have a hidden room. No such luck here though.

Actually---I would love to have a hidden room that the kids didn't know about.
