Welcome to the 2nd Annual
Christmas Cookie Recipe Party!
Christmas Cookie Recipe Party!
Come on in from the cold and let's share some cookies!
Would you like an Oreo Snowball Truffle?
They're YUMMY!! To Make these all you need is 3 ingredients.
Oreo Snowball Truffles
(it's more a candy than a cookie, but it's made with cookies)
Yield: 20+ Truffles • Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
1 package Oreo cookies
8oz whipped cream cheese
1 package white candy coating or dipping chocolate
Directions: In a large mixing bowl, crush the entire package of Oreo cookies into small cookie crumbs. Add the cream cheese and thoroughly mix together with Oreo crumbs by hand or with mixer. Next, heat the white chocolate according to package directions. Once the chocolate is melted, roll Oreo mixture into small bite-sized balls then dip in & cover with chocolate. Let harden before eating.
Tip: Melt a few extra white chocolate squares, and then pour into a small plastic baggie. Cut a tiny hole in the bottom corner of the bag and then drizzle thin lines across the snowballs. You could use the same white chocolate used for dipping, or even red to make them look like peppermints, or any other festive color candy coating you prefer! Also, try sprinkling coconut on the truffles after dipping them in the white chocolate so that it will stick as the coating hardens. Colored sprinkles will also give you a fun look the kids will enjoy, or just add crystal clear sugar sprinkles for a sparkling finish!

We make these, too! We use the mint oreos for the snowball ones and then use the cherry oreos to make chocolate truffles!
