A Reader's Kitchen Transformation

A few month ago a reader of my blog by the name of Cheryl asked me for some advice about my kitchen remodel. Cheryl was helping her daughter Amy spice up her kitchen. Amy had those infamous country orangy oak cabinets that were so popular in the 80's & 90's and now so outdated! She just emailed me pics of the finished kitchen and it came out so great I just had to share. She had a very limited budget...so don't let money stand in your way. Get out that elbow grease & some paint to transform your kitchen! Way to go Amy!!

Hey Darlene,

Thanks so much for giving me a 'shout out' on my kitchen makeover! :) It was a LOT of work, but so worth it! And...I'm not sure who 'Julie' is...it was my mom who was emailing you back and forth for advice for me..and her name is Cheryl! hehe!

And, I just made a decorating blog...it's at www.prettyfrugalpretties.blogspot.com -- so if you'd like to link to my new blog, that would be fine with me! :)

Thanks again!!
Amy

One of the better afters I've seen! The black island completely makes it. Very nice. I'm going to show it to my sister-in-law in hopes of encouraging her to do the same thing.
