A few months ago I mentioned that I had some extra hard wood flooring left over from having our floors installed. These were just short planks that the installer had cut. Hubby wanted to throw them away, but I said, "NO, I'm sure I can figure out something to do with them." Well, this is what I decided to do. It's a copy from Pottery Barn but done with my own design.
Here is the PB one
Here is the process:
1. Glue planks together in size you want
2. cut out a design (I cut out fall leaves for my design)
3. use spray adhesive to glue them to the wood
4. spray the entire wood with a white or cream spray paint
5. carefully pull off the paper cut outs
6. if there is some leftover adhesive on the wood...clean it off with a qtip dipped in an adhesive remover
7. There ya go....PB inspired art with your leftover wood flooring planks!
Perfect for art for fall and oh so cheap to do!
If you all do this project, please show me yours!

I am visiting from A Soft Place to Land and I must tell you that I LOVE your picture!!! My most recent post are some of my favorite things that I have found on-line... one being the horse picture from Pottery Barn! I never even thought of how I could come up with my own design and at a fraction of the cost. Thanks for the inspiration!!!
Fabulous! I love it, what a statement piece for your wall. Thanks for linking up.
