We got home from vacation this afternoon and guess what we came home to??? I wish we could say came home to a big "welcome home" sign, but we came home instead to a flooded house! We opened our front door and heard water running, ran into the kitchen and water was spraying everywhere and we had about 3-4 inches of water on the floor. The plastic pipe on the faucet broke (yes, our new faucet). There was water in our dining room, kitchen, bathroom, our daughter's bedroom, hall way, and the garage. So we spent the rest of the day ripping out carpet, carpet padding, removing furniture, sucking up water with wet vacs and now we have fans running to dry out our home. What a great way to come home after vacation...NOT!!! Oh and ya know our kitchen we just finished remodeling....well the cabinet by the sink is ruined! So is our vanity in our bathroom. Thank the Lord we have homeowner's insurance!! The adjuster is suppose to come out tomorrow.
So if I'm not posting for awhile that is because I'm dealing with this!! UGH!!!!!!!!

Oye! I'm so sorry!! Hope your adjuster is fair...
Oh my, what an awful homecoming. So sorry. You are so grounded to just thank the Lord for homeowners insurance. God Bless you dear and please let us know how god takes this creates something wonderful through it.

Oh I am so sorry. I had this happen to me too. It is awful. We had to have a clean up crew come in like at 2 am. They pulled up the carpet sucked up the massive amounts of water and turned on many industrial size fans for days to dry things out. It worked and thank heavens my insurance paid for it all. I even had walls and ceilings cave in. It all got repaired but I can sympathize with. Hang in there. It will get better.
Oh no! Thank God for insurance! I hope you can salvage some things. That's terrible!!
Oh NO!!! Thank goodness you have your insurance.
Oh horrible Darlene - what an awful homecoming - I'll be thinking of y'all -
OH no, that is awful..I am so sorry Darlene..thank goodness for home owners insurance is right...hang in there.
Hello Darlene,
My thoughts are with you. I hope that all goes well with your adjustor and that you are able to eventually fix everything back to normal. It's great that you can look on the positive side and appreciate that you have insurance. Hang in there--this too shall pass.
Hugs,
Debi
