The contractors are starting the work on Monday...yeah! They still expect it to take 6-8 weeks, but at least we will be back before the holidays.
So I am changing a few paint colors since they have to paint anyway. I have chosen SW Nomadic Desert for the LR/DR. Do any of you have this color in your home? Here's a photo I found on google of the color.
We currently have that UGLY popcorn acoustic ceiling, so we are taking this time to scrape that off the ceilings...yeah!
I am thinking for the LR/DR ceilings to paint them SW Kilm Beige. It is one up on the color swatch from Nomadic Desert. Here is a photo I found of a celing with SW Kilm Beige. What do ya think??
I think I want to change the paint color in the bathroom and need your help! My 20 yr old daughter mainly uses this bathroom, but it is also the bathroom any guests at our home use. She likes the different shades of green in the bathroom. However it has always kinda bothered me that the green fabric shower curtain is a different shade than the walls. I don't really want to change anything else in the bathroom. Want to stick with green, white/cream, with black as the accent color. So with that in mind what color should I use for the walls (other than beige)?? Any suggestions??
I have the SW paint color pallete, so if you have suggestions...please let me know!!
Update: What do you all think of SW Svelte Sage for the bathroom walls & Sw Ancient Marble for the ceiling??

I am so sorry to hear about your water damage! Yuck! Well, on the bright side you get to redo some things earlier than later. I really, really love the second color (pictured in bedroom!) For your guest bath...I am a fan of green. Is there an earthy green from the same family (nomadic?) that you love?
Best of luck in this spontaneous adventure!

NO!!! Darlene I'm so sorrry you had a pipe burst in your new kitchen. I hope it all gets fixed quickly.
I like the idea of using a deep chocolate brown in your bathroom. That would look so rich and warm with the sink and mirror. It would also match the sage curtain.
Sorry to hear about the unfortunate! However, it's great to refresh it all!! How about this warm grayish color called Family Traditions by Dutch Boy.. I have it in my own home and LOVE IT! Amazed by how cozy and neutral it is.
Good Luck~!

Best of luck with the re-model. I know from first hand experience this can be a MAJOR hassle but I know the finished product will turn out great. I love the paint colors. As for your bathroom I really don't know. I have a bathroom to repaint in our other house and I am stumped as well. Let us know what you come up with.

We have a shade like your nomadic desert in our basement media room but ours is Benjamin Moore - sisal. Our washroom is a similar shade BM - Stonehouse. There are terrific with white trim. Upstairs our trim is oak and we carried up the stairwell and it really doesn't go well with the oak trim. White really makes that colour pop or vice versa.
You haven't shown the flooring in that washroom. A wise choice is to tie in the granite countertop shade and the flooring. and your desert colour would probably go and you could add green accents or a shower curtain with dessert beige colours and green.
Or if you really want green walls, an olive or green tea shade may be better.
I'm about to paint my dinning room with nomadic dessert and match it with Rice grain of STAR ELASTOMERIC.
For me its gonna be a nice combination, will just wait and see.
