Garage Sales & Met Monday

Today's I am participating in 2 linky parties! Wow, I've been partying alot lately! LOL! Rhoda from Southern Hospitality is hosting another Today's Thrifting Treasures & Susan from Between Naps on the Porch is hosting another Metamorphasis Monday

I woke up my hubby saturday morning at 6am and asked him to go to a few garage sales with me. I kinda felt bad for not letting him sleep in...but I figured he would want to spend some quality time with me hunting for treasures. I was right, he agreed to go with me.

Unfortunately after going to 6 g-sales we came home empty handed. :(

All we saw out there was junk that we didn't want or need. So I am going to show you something I got at a garage sale last fall. I posted it on my blog but since there are so many new followers...many of you probably haven't seen it.

I am a sucker for candle holders and found these huge wood candleholders for $2 each.

I didn't like the green/gold color so I got out my handy dandy spray paint and Voila!

They were a little too perfect and shiny looking so I distressed them a bit with some sandpaper....awe, much better!

Thanks for visiting!!

Darlene

Great makeover on those candle holders, Darlene! I like the white! In fact I'm looking around the house for candle holders I can transform to white, for the dining room table.
