Can you help me??

Hi Friends!

I need your Help...again!

I still have not had any success planning a summer family vacation. We go on vacation every summer and always have it planned way before June, so I am way behind this year!

I have enough amex points to fly our family of 4 for free roundtrip anywhere in the US (we don't have passports)...but where shall we go?? Oh I already tried to plan on going to Hawaii, but unfortunately I do not have enough points to fly there. Any other ideas?

Here is a list of our past vacations

2001-western caribbean cruise
2002-eastern caribbean cruise
2003- south padre island, tx
2004- seattle, wa
2005- san diego, ca
2006- destin, fl
2007- destin, fl
2008- panama city beach, fl
2009- ????????

We need some place that will be fun for our daughter's ages 12 & 20 as well as for us 40 something parents. We have vetoed the Disney World idea I had a few weeks ago because so many of you said it would be miserably hot.
Any suggestions?????

Darlene

Laguna Beach, California and you can take a side trip to Disneyland or Knott's Berry Farm. Shouldn't be as hot as Florida...

We loved the Dominican Republic...we toured the site where they filmed the first Jurasic Park movie.

Beautiful country and it was very inexpensive.

We also took a jungle tour to several families that lived in the jungle and it was definitely an eye opener. We want to take our kids back with us in a few years.

Simply breathtaking!

Our family loves the Outer Banks of North Carolina! Beautiful NON CROWDED beaches and lots to do around the area. We have stayed in Avon before, but you could stay in Hattaras, Duck, Nags Head, or Kitty Hawk. You can take a fun ferry ride to Ocracoke Island and ride bikes. You can rent boats, jet skies, and other fun water stuff. You can rent a beach house for reasonable prices or stay in a hotel. There are tons of historical areas to visit and the Hattaras Lighthouse is a must to visit! You can even climb to the top and get an awesome view. There's a little something for everyone in the Outer Banks! Here is a great link: http://www.outerbanks.org/index.asp

Good Luck! Aubre Rice

A couple of years ago the four of us went to Colorado. Went up Pike's Peak, river rafting, all of that good stuff. It was cool there and so much fun!

San Francisco! Shopping, Alcatraz, redwood forest, wine country, Oakland A's or San Francisco Giants games, a car ride down the coast to Carmel- it's a great trip!
