Almost every Saturday morning hubby and I go on treasure hunts aka Garage/Yard Sales. We love the thrill of the hunt! Finding something we need or want at a Bargain price is such an adrenaline rush for us. Yeah, it doesn't take much for us. LOL
A couple weeks ago we found some Barrel Cane Chairs that we were thrilled about. You can see that blog post
hereWell this past saturday we scored 2 more cane chairs...YES!! They were $17.50 each!! BARGAIN!
These were in such great shape! Even the upholstery was excellent. I decided to keep these ones instead of the other chairs I found a couple weeks ago. But I will be reupholstering them. Thinking of using faux linen (you bloggers know...that is our frugal secret=drop cloth) Yep, I said I was going to reupholster the chairs with a drop cloth! Just wait and see how fabulous it will look. Not sure if I will keep the tufting or not. What do you think??
This is a chair done by Cobblestone & Vine blog that was done in faux linen aka drop cloths. See how great it looks!!
Loving the pilllow too! Anyone know the name of that fabric??
Oh and I got this round leather storage case. It was $8
Will be using this on the shelves in my den as soon as hubby gets the shelves built.
Found this cute bird candle holder for $3. Thought it was perfect for our deck on our outdoor coffee table. Although I decided to paint it a pretty blue. I'll show you a photo of it painted soon.
UPDATE: You can see it all painted here
Close up up the little birds
Our 15 yr old daughter is wanting her room to be redone again. We surprised her with a bedroom makeover when she was 9 so she's ready for a change. I figured this ornate frame would look great painted in a bright color and either used as a mirror or made into a chalkboard or even a corkboard. By the way, she liked it...yay! It was only $1
So what treasures did you find??
I am linking up with
Southern Hospitality blog...so hop on over there to check out what other treasures were found at garage/yard sales & flea markets.
