Fall Decorating at Our Home

I decorated for fall early september. I know it was a bit early but I was anxious for fall. This was actually the first year that I was ready to say goodbye to summer and hello to fall. So before I take it all down and put the christmas decor up I figured I better show you.

I know, I still need the cloth napkins and silverware.

Love my dollar store pumpkins!

Oh and check out my leaf glasses from the dollar store.

Now, let's go into the kitchen. This is at the breakfast nook.

A little ceramic pumpkin showcased on a pedestal.

Yum, coffee and ??? wonder what's in that pumpkin cookie jar??
Maybe some pumpkin cookies!!

From our family to yours......

Happy Fall Y'all!!

Creative uses for Pinecones

I have an over abundance of pinecones in my yard, so I was searching out some creative ways to use them in my Christmas decorating. Some I found I never even thought of before. Hope you can find some creative inspiration in these photos to do with pinecones that you've never done.

You will need pinecones of varying sizes for this one.
You could do this without the jewels. Just hot glue ribbon on the wide part of the pinecone and hang from a window. Saw this done at the Culinary & Craft House in Branson.

Just one large pinecone in an urn...simple, yet elegant. Spray the pinecone silver or gold or just leave natural.
Keep the kids busy making a pinecone garland!
Love the large pinecones by the hearth!

Pinecones make great ornaments...sprayed gold or silver, dusted with snow or left natural!
How about a pinecone placecard? Perfect for fall or winter!
Don't forget to use pinecones in your centerpieces.
This is the one idea I have not thought of and definitly will do! I have the perfect spot for it!
Branches of pincones to use on top a hutch or sideboard or anywhere for that matter!
Ah, don't forget to jazz up your gift wrapping with some nature!
The only place I've seen huge pinecones like this were in California. I should have gotten some when I lived there. Oh well. All you Californians can do this!

Ok, hope that inspired you all! I'm off to gather my pinecones now!

Don't forget to get your blog posts ready for tomorrow's "Christmas Cookie Recipe Party!"

See you soon!

Hey Pumpkin!!

Have you been thinking about a creative way to decorate your pumpkin this fall/halloween? If your like me....your tired of the same ol' pumpkin that you carve every year and need to jazz it up a bit this year.....so here's a bunch of ideas to get your creative juices flowing!
Here's my pumpkins....

No need for carving here...just decorate with different size pumpkins and pop some votives in the small ones.

Ok, I know alot of you have some chalkboard paint left over....get it out and paint your pumpkins!
Have you all used the InkChalk pens yet? I just bought mine at Michaels.

Who says you can't monogram your pumpkin? Go for it!

Decoupage anthing you want on your pumpkin!

Give that pumpkin some BLING!

OK, this does require carving...but had to include it! It's so adorable!

How about a swirly damask pattern? Lovely!
That white pumpkin with the black swirly pattern is so classy!

Black & White...Tres' Chic!

How about an Argyle Pumpkin? Perfect for your preppy friends!

Harlequin Design.....is this cool or what?!

Add some stickers to spell out anything you want!

MumPumpkins....Beautiful!

Can't go wrong with Polka Dots!

What says Fall better than Leaves on a Pumpkin...just get out that decoupage glue!

Put your kids to work making metal swirls
& stick them in your pumpkin to create this fun modern design!

(This would look so cool on a black pumpkin)

Glitz & Glam Pumpkins
(everything looks better with glitter, right?!)

Cut off the top & pop in some flowers...instant creativity!
If your feeling really creative you can carve some leaves out of an elongated pumpkin like shown in the photo.

I had to throw this one in there even though it requires some major carving....isn't it cool or should I say "HOT"! (haha)

Well did I inspire you?
(I hope so!)
