A Creative Birthday Gift

A couple weeks ago I posted that I went with hubby to a car show and took a bunch of photos of parts of the cars that looked like letters of the alphabet. Well I just had the photos printed and realized that my daughter's boyfriend Cody had a birthday coming up......so this is what I came up with for his birthday.

I haven't made one for hubby yet...but I will. He knows about it now, so it's no longer a surprise. By the way, he loves the idea! I'll be sure to show you when I get his made.

Finally Found a Car!!

As most of you know we've been looking for a new used car for our 20 yr old daughter. She had a Honda Accord and decided to sell it and get something newer with less miles. Unfortunately we could not find what she wanted locally so we travelled to 2 different states to try to find her a car. Thankfully we found one on friday! We found that there were alot more selection in Dallas, TX so we travelled the 4 1/2 hours to Dallas and looked at about 6 Nissan Altimas before we found the ONE! She paid for it all herself...with cash! Way to go...so proud of her!




Everything seemed to be cheaper there so we went ahead and also bought 4 new tires for it and had the windows tinted. It was too far to drive back so we stayed the night in a hotel and went and saw a movie...Marley & Me..it was very good! I of course cried like a baby at the end though, reminded me of our dog Shelby! Definitly go see it if you love dogs!
