So on to the tablescape....I got the glass hurricane candle holder at a garage sale this past weekend for $2. Perfect with pinecones and some Pottery Barn faux acorns as a filler. Oh and the black frame around the centerpiece that was a hideous gold frame that I sprayed black. I actually used the frame last yr for my thanksgiving tablescape as well. Just love the look of the square frame on the table, it's unexpected!
How do you like my wine glasses? I just got those today at the Dollar Store. I love that they are green on top with a clear stem and for $1 each I couldn't pass them up!
The napkin rings I got a few yrs ago at a discount store for around $3. Some have pumpkins on them and some have gourds/squash.
Pumpkin salt & pepper shakers were found last yr at our local flea market for a whole $3. Can you tell after this post that I am a bargain shopper?? LOL! I love finding a bargain...it's the thrill of the hunt!
Be sure to go check out all the other tablescapes at Susan's blog-Between Naps On The Porch
Have a blessed day!

Very pretty! I adore what you did with your table refinishing. I'd like to know more about your chairs too, if you bought them that way or if you redid them also. I have to give gel stain a try, it looks wonderful on your table.
ReplyDeleteDarlene, Beautiful, I love all your fall touches. You did a great job of putting it all together.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful fall table! I am with you on loving a bargain too. have a great day!
ReplyDeleteSOOO beautiful!! Darelene, you and I would be such good friends if we lived close! I think one of my most favorite things about your blog is that you tell us where you get things and how much you pay for them!! It helps us to know a good deal when we see it...and be prepared to jump on it when we find it!
ReplyDeleteProverbs 31: 13,16 & 18!!! THANK YOU!!
I really like the idea of the frame on the table. It is unexpected and I love that touch. You have found some great deals. I was into getting things out of my house until my first tablescape a few weeks ago. Now, I'm on a constant search. It is addictive. Sue

Oh what a gorgeous tablescape. I love the tablecloth and all of the beautiful dishes and accessories. Your hurricane is just beautiful and such a lovely centerpiece sitting on the black frame. What a great idea. Your hurricane would be wonderful also for our "Holiday Cloche Party" on Dec. 4th. You can find all the details on my sidebar. Hope to see you there. Hugs, Marty

ReplyDeleteYour table is beautiful, Darlene! I love the redo!! The lighting in your room really makes the table (especially the hurricane & wineglasses glow...and what deals!!). The frame is a fabulous idea as it anchors the centerpiece. I love it!!

Fabulous colour scheme am testing out thanksgiving myself this weekend with a bit of bird theme as turkeys are not so common in these parts.
