Fun Christmas Tablescapes and Faux Snow

Faux Snow!! I learned about this faux snow last year and I am wanting to use it this year. I'm on the search for some snowman mugs (like the santa mugs in photo) to use on my table filled with this faux snow. It's called Sno Wonder. Looks just like snow and won't melt!

Oh I love these tree & damask plates! I spy some polka dot plates in this setting as well!

Fun, Fun, Fun! That is what this setting says to me. Another one that can be used year round...just remove the snowflakes.

The ever popular lime green & red color scheme! This too..not just for Christmas!

Make Iced Branches

You know how in the winter ice crystals just sparkle when they catch some sunlight? Well you can recreate that look in your holiday decorations! I'm sure you've see the ice crystal branches in stores or the garlands that have ice crystlas in them. Now you can make your own! It's very easy! All you need is:

Tree Branches
Glue (I use Aleene's Tacky Glue)
Colorfill Diamond Vase Filler 1 lb by Garden Splendor
(I bought mine from eBay, although you might be able to buy it at Hobby Stores like Hobby Lobby or Michaels)

Step 1.

Place a sheet of newspaper down for a work area. Pour a pile of Colorfill Diamonds in the center.

Step 2.

Place tacky glue on the branches and roll in the Diamonds. Let set 1 hour and you have ice covered branches. I might suggest that you spray the branches with an acrylic sealer after they are iced. Easy as that!

Variations: Add some artificial moss or red berries to some of the branches

Remember to show us all your Ice Crystal Branches when you get yours completed!

Amazing Song Sunday

Just got back from church with my 2 daughters. Hubby couldn't go because he has so many custom rug orders that he had to catch up on. Anyway, we sang a song that was so moving that I wanted to share it with you. In fact I think from now on every sunday I am going to share a new song...so it will be officially called "Amazing Song Sunday"

God Bless You!

Christmas Trees Galore!

I went to a local store called House to Home here in Hot Springs and fell in love with their decorated Christmas Trees! They were all STUNNING!! The owner Jennifer Huett and a friend of hers decorated the trees all themselves. Jennifer said the trick is to add alot of stuff...the more the better!

**Remember you can click on each photo to enlarge them!

Have you ever seen an upside down tree?

Love this tree! She said this is the most popular tree in the store. She also said it looked better a few weeks ago before customers started buying things off of the tree.

Love the feathers!

Red and Green Tree

Oh and this Aqua, White & Silver Tree would look amazing in my 20 yr old daughter's bedroom! Too bad, there isn't enough room in her room for a tree like this!

How about an All Red Tree?

And Red with Silver

A Copper/Bronze/Gold Tree (this would even look great for Thanksgiving)

Notice the sign?

Hope you enjoyed seeing the christmas trees as much as I did! Although the pictures don't do them justice! What is your favorite?
